Furuno HUB-101 ehternet cable compatibility

Hi. I am have a NN3D set-up with various other Furuno instruments and sensors. I am using the HUB-101 for connections. My question is whether I can plug in a "normal" ethernet cable to the hub for my PC running Maxsea if I turn the power dip switch off on the hub?

Yes, you can. You are correct that power sync switch must be off. The integration abilities will depend on the version of TZ software you have. I would defer any specific questions about that to Nobeltec/TimeZero.

Ok, thanks. The integration is working today, I just need a longer cable to the pc or to make the connection wireless through a non-internet connected access point if that is a possibility. I read about the potential wireless solution in a thread but it seemed a bit unclear.

I would try to do wired. There's no telling how wireless ethernet bridging would work/not work.
