Correct. The TZTL12F does not have CHIRP.

it's the only difference
They are totally different units with too many differences. TZT2 is a network device designed to support many different radar models and sounders. The GP1971 is a standalone device that can only view it's own sounder. It can only interface with the DRS4W. It is a great unit for the price but it isn't a NavNet.
