FR 2105

Hi there.

I have a furuno fr2105 x band radar.
We went on sea trial on sunday and it was working fine.
Today we get a "Signal Missing - Video" alarm with no radar echo picture.
Radar continues to rotate while alarm is present.
Gyro feed is correct.

Have tried:
Power cycling
Manual tune
Tune initialise
Remove ARP board
Check connections both ends at the unit and console.
Run the self test page with the following result:

Antenna Speed 23.6rpm
Trig Frew 912hz
Mag current 4.9v
R. Monitor 1.4v
Tune Ind. 2.7v


Any ideas greatly appreciated!!!

It sounds like it could be a Processor Board (SPU Board) problem. How many transmit (TX) hours does the Magnetron have on the system..?

Those transmit hours are not excessive, so it might not be the magnetron. However it could be a processor board issue (SPU Board). I would recommend contacting an authorized furuno dealer to take a look at the system.

Replaced the SPU with a new one and changed all the settings and still no luck, video signal missing alarm still present. Cable checked fro continuity and is ok. :questions
