fish symbols

I notice when I activate the fish symbols on my 628 with accufish, I get an arch with a fish symbol and number for length of fish attached to the arch. My old sonar only gave the symbol, no arch, so am I getting the raw data with the fish symbol? Also, is the black palette visible in daylight? Thanks

Yes you seeing the raw data also. Personally I prefer the black background, but it really depends on the viewing angle/brightness of your surroundings.
