Firmware for GP-1850 DF

Hello Furuno Community,

My trusty GP-1850 suffered some setbacks this year. First the battery died and lost nearly 20 years worth of waypoints (fishing spots). I managed to replace the battery and get the unit back up. However all waypoints I'm adding now show year 1999 and 2000 which I think is attributed to the GPS week rollover issue.

I've done some reading online and some manufacturers have issued firmware updates to get around the GPS week rollover problem. Does Furuno have any firmware updates for the 1850 which would address the same?

Hi,

The GP1850DF was affected by the GPS roll over that took place this year. There is no software update or parts that will fix the issue. The GPS core inside of these units were only programmed for 20 years.
