FCV295 and R309, HF not working

Good afternoon,

Recently our FCV295/R309 stopped working on the high frequency side. I suspect that the tx on the 295 has failed and needs repair, but am unsure. I looked at the system diagnostic page and the high side sees nothing on the HF echo. Thoughts? Could it be the transducer?

Thank you in advance for any insights you can share!

All the best,
Dan

Dan.Fuller,
The first thing I would do is to do a system Restore (default settings).
If the 200Khz side is still weak you can reprogram the LF side of the 295 for 200Khz.
However if you do this make sure that you reset the TAP setting jumper to "A".

Hi Snips,

Thank you, I will see if the factory reset works and will report back. With respect to reprogramming the LF side for 200, I assume this isn't possible if I am also running the LF side at 28? We typically run dual, 28/200. For the time being we are running only 28.

Thank you!

Dan,
Changing the LF side to 200Khz can been done at the dock for a quick test. However if you want to take it a step further you could also reprogram the HF side for 28Khz.

hi Snips,

Did the factory reset and nothing changed. I'll try the HF side on the LF side (tap A) as suggested above.
