Hi,

I am going through the set up for bottom discrimination but each time I change range the bottom area multiplies with the range but I want to keep at 2m. Is there a setting to do this?

Help appreciated

Cheers Pete

Good morning Fiddy1,

Thank you for your inquiry. However I am not fully understanding your question and what you are trying to achieve. Could you please provide a bit more detail or context on how you are trying to set up the FCV1150 and what it is and is not doing?

It sounds like you are trying to set up the machine so you can look the bottom tail and second or third echo to help you identify what the bottom hardness is?

I don't under stand what is happening when you change the range. Please provide more details, how much are you changing the range by? 100m, 50m, 200 ft ect? and what is the starting point of the range before you make this change?

Photos of what the sounder looks like before you make the range change and what it looks like after you make the range change may help us get a better idea of what is happening?

I also don't understand 2m, is that the range you are using or starting with?

Kind Regards,

C-Bass

Fiddy1,
I was able to set my machine up to see what you are talking about. With the current available SW there is no way to lock the bottom half of the Bottom Discrimination window to a fixed depth range. However I will ask about this for you.

Snips

Thanks snips,

Looks like I will just need to utilise the shift function.
As when the range increases the bottom thins out with range getting larger on bottom duscrimination.

Would be great if you can ask.

Cheers Pete
