Hi,
I recently purchased a fcv588.
the technician recommended me to connect a 525 tid-bhd transducer to it.
I did not find this model in the list of transducers on the furuno website.
According to posts I read online, many recommend the 526 tid-hdd model.
This is a 7.5 meter fishing boat weighing 3 tons with an inboard engine.
The depth I fish in is up to 600-700 meters. What would you recommend?

Thanks in advance

The 525TID-BHD is the airmar B258 transducer with the correct Furuno 10 pin connection on it.
Here is a link to the Airmar Bottom Calculator for that model.
Your needs exceed that estimated and many times their estimates are best case. The Airmar B260 (526TID-HDD) his estimated deeper and more sensitive so of the the two units the B260 would work the best for your depths.

Osher123,

If your fishery is between 600-700 meters (1968-2296 ft.), then your best bet is selecting the 526TID-HDD for use with your FCV588.

The 526TID-HDD is dual frequency transducer at 50/200kHz, with 1kW of power. The 50kHz low frequency side has a 19° beam width with a maximum depth of 762 meters (2500 ft.), while the 200kHz high frequency side uses a 6° beam width with a maximum depth of 294 meters (1000 ft.) The 526TID-HDD's lower frequency should be better suited for the deeper fishing performance with your FCV588.
