I used fcv 588 w p66 airmar transducer, worked fine for approx 2 years, by now it often powers off. DC voltage as diplayed on the unit varies between 12 and 13 v . Usually I restart FCV 588 and it works fine again for a while and powers off again later on. What should I do to fix that ? Thanks in advance for your help

Rvhyr,
Recheck all the power connections. I would re-terminate the power cable to your DC panel, check the in line fuse holders and the rear power plug for corrosion. If you find that the sounder turns itself off when you restart your engines then you will need to check the condition of your starting batteries.

Thanks for your advices, I will check that as soon as possible and will be back to you with the findings. Regards Herve

Here are some late news on this topic.
After checking and cleaning power connections , DC tension displayed on unit reached up to 14.2 v and more with motor running. No more power off then for approx 10 mns , so far so good...hope it will last later on.
