FCV-588 and B164 v B175M

I have a NN3D MFD12 with FCV-588 and B164 set up. Do you know what the max depth I can read on low frequency on the FCV-588 with a B164? I am thinking about replacing the B164 with a Chirp transducer and like the idea of using the same hole as the B164 (B175M fits). Does the B175M work with the FCV-588 and would I gain depth range with B175M? If not, I guess I could install a DFF1-UHD and delete the FCV-588?
Thank you.

Southport 26,

The B175M will not work with the FCV588 because it's a CHIRP Transducer with a frequency range of 85-135kHz.

However, the B164 will work with the FCV588 because it's a Conventional Wave Transducer with a frequency range of 50/200kHz. AIRMAR's specifications lists the B164 with a maximum depth of 1800 feet for the Low Frequency side, and 800 feet for the High Frequency side.

Please note that the DFF1-UHD will not work with a B175M, as this is a "Medium Frequency CHIRP Transducer", and the DFF1-UHD only CHIRPs at 30-70 kHz for the Low Frequency and 175-225 kHz for the High Frequency.

I hope that you find this information helpful..? :)
