New guy here, I just found out about this site as I purchased a new to me boat with a FCV 1150. All my searches have made it look like a very nice unit. However it's almost as if a 2 year old played with the knobs before the boat was sold to me. White screen with red squares coming and going at the top and whether I try to set to auto or customize it doesn't seem to make a difference. I live in San Diego, so we fish from 50'-650' in the winter mainly concerned withe the bottom, and then switch over to Tuna settings that are surface to about 400' searches in the summer and we don't care about the bottom as its often 3000' +-. Can any of you guys with this fish finder share what your settings are for either of these so I can get a baseline start before I practice fine tuning and learning my Faruno? I always had raymarine and simrad on past boats.
