FCV 1100 to Garmin 7612SVX

Can I connect my Furuno FCV1100 to my Garmin 7612SVX so that I can get depth data displayed on the Multi-funcion device and what would be the most efficient way to do that?

The FCV1100 outputs digital depth information via NMEA0183. You would need our cable part #000-154-054. I am not sure if the Garmin will accept NMEA0183 and may only take NMEA2000 as input. If that is the case you would need an 0183 to N2K converter similar to our IF-NMEA2K2.

The Garmin is NMEA2000. Would i need a power supply as if I was setting up a NMEA 2000 network or just the converter and the NMEA0183 cables?

In checking the Garmin user manual online I noticed that it does have an NMEA input and it does accept a DPT message which is one that the FCV1100 will output. You might check with Garmin but it doesn't look like you need to convert to N2K.
