Hi guys. Currently running a 587 with TM260. Have just purchased a secon-Hans fc1100.
Obviously plugs are very different etc. my question is - is it possible to run a 50/200 transducer (tm260) off the 1100? Would I have to put on a splitter to 2 plugs to fit the fc1100?
I don’t really want to purchase another transducer as I’m happy with the TM260.
Any advice would be much appreciated :D

Tyke123,
There are two types of TM-260's, diplexed (2 wire) and non-diplexed (4 wire). Your FCV-587 has a single transceiver and alternates between 50 and 200Khz. These sounders use a diplexed transducer. The FCV-1100 has two transceivers and therefore needs to use non-diplexed transducer. In a pinch you could connect your current TM-260 to the FCV-1100 but you are only going to be able to use either 50 or 200Khz, not both. Unfortunately a new transducer is the best solution.

Thanks Snips,
Is there a way to connect my 1100 to my existing power cable for the 587? Is there an adapter plug or can I splice it somehow?
Many thanks

Tyke123,
It is best to but the correct power cable for your FCV-1100.
The part number is 000-129-613.
