I have been using the 2127 and 2117 for a few years now and have been getting about 18 months out of the brushes(24/7 operation @40rpm). I ordered some replacement brushes using the same part number (000-176-584-10) a few months back and received different brushes. The only difference I could see was the color of the brush metal. I didn't really notice the change until the brushes wore out in 3 months. I though maybe a got some defective brushes but another radar had the same problem.
We have 30+ radars installed and this is becoming a problem. Most of the radars are approaching brush replacement and all I have are the crappy new style....that last 3 months.
Anyone notice this issue? Is there a different style brush I can buy? Why did Furuno change the brush material?
