FA 50 GPS source and GPS antennae

Do I have to connect a new GPS antennae when installing? If I have device connect to hub can it not access the position data from my Furuno GP-33? If I can do this what settings do I need?

If I do have to connect to a gps antennae can I use a splitter to use an existing antennae?

The GPS antenna for the FA50 must be used. It is needed for timing not necessarily position.
Also, you should never use a splitter for any GPS application as the signal loss can really degrade performance.

Thanks. It is transmitting when I have the GPS antennae connected but not mounted outside.
