I couldn't find a good manual for the radio to verify the wiring but based on what you said, it sounds right. Have you turned on the position PGN to go from the GP1670F to go out to your NMEA 2000 bus?

You might talk to the radio company to see if they have a NMEA monitor to see if the data is really being received or not, or temporarily connect the NMEA to another device to see if you are getting data out of the converter.
