DSC position polling and NN3D

Is it possible to have an individual boat marked on the MFD when a DSC position is sent to the radio if it is connected via NMEA 0183 OUT on the radio to the IN in the MFD? In other words, if a buddy sends me a position via DSC, can i have him show on the MFD?

Yes as long as the radio provides DSE along with the DSC sentence information.
