DRS4D power cable splicing

During a recent refit I had to cut the power cable of my DRS4D (https://www.furunousa.com/en/products/001-341-660-00). Now I want to reinstall the DRS4D and am wondering how I can keep the cable properly shielded after splicing the two individual wires. I'm assuming the shield has to run continuously along the whole cable to be effective?

Alternatively, if I can find somewhere online to buy the connector used in that cable, I can try to crimp a new connector. Any suggestions on where to find such a thing would be appreciated

You would splice the shield wire just as you do the other wires of the cable. Any EMI will flow the full lenght of the cable as long as you connect the two pieces.
