DRS2DNXT mount

Hello,

I recently ordered a DRS2DNXT and plan to install it on a T-top canvas boat. According to the documentation, it requires a 25° vertical clearance without obstructions.

I want to avoid making holes in the canvas, so I’ve designed a support structure that attaches to the edges of the T-top. Do you think this setup will work properly and meet the clearance requirements?

Thank you for your assistance!

Best regards,

The 25 degrees is total...12.5 up and 12.5 down as measured vertically from the center of the white part of the dome assembly. The only suggestion I would make to improve this just a bit is to mount the RADAR on the front side of the top if possible. This will allow more RF energy to bounce of close-in targets such as a crab pot. Just a note that the RADAR does have a minimum range of approx. 70 feet (the RADAR is still transmitting and settling to listen mode in the first 70 feet).
