What would be the best thru hull transducer for bottom discrimination mapping on an aluminum boat?

The transducer options rated for bottom discrimination on the DFf1-UHD would not be good for mounting on Aluminum boats. If bottom discrimination is important to you, you might consider a diffrent sounder like the BBDS1. Tone based transducers/sounders are much better at Bottom Discrimination and offer more choices like Stainless Steel or Plastic that would be suitable to mount on Aluminum hulls.
