My dff1 keeps firing the chirp transducers when I have turned off the TZ2. Do I need to add a switch to power the dff1 off? Similarly to the radar which always stays powered up ? Thank you

The DFF1 will stop firing the transducer about 4 to 8 mins after you turn off the NavNet and your radar. The sounder itself will still be on in standby but if you want to remove all power, you will need to install a switch or turn off the breaker which is powering it.

I don't think my transducers stop firing, even when the to touch 2 is off for a while. They seam to only turn off if I turn the battery switch off.

Hi, I turned off both my TZ touch 2 for 36 hours. The chirp transducers are still firing. Could something be wired or some switches changed? Thanks

If you have a unit, your radar, or the PC based navigation software running, the DFF1 will see the there is a device still on the network to talk to and continue firing the transducer. Once it doesn't see any of these devices turned on, it will revert to standby status in about 4 to 8 minutes but even standby will pull some amount of power. If you are leaving the boat with your mains on, I would recommend a power switch or breaker for your sounder. Only the NavNet 3D used the power sync function. No dip switch to change.

That makes sense.. my radar does not turn off ether. I plan on adding a switch for the Radar.
Guess I'll add one for the sounder too. Thank You
