DFF1 is not activating

I have an MFD12 going through a 101 hub, this spring the MFD 12 wasn't finding anything. If I plugged the sounder directly into the MFD 12, it works fine so I figured I must have a bad hub so I replaced that. It is now finding the radar and GPS but still not finding the sounder. When I plug the sounder directly into the hub I get a steady green standby light and the sounder works, when I go through the hub, the standby doesn't come on and I get a no device found message. I've tried a different patch cords, no joy.

Normal operations for the sounder light (after being powered for more than 4 mins) will be a flashing stby light. It will be about one second ON and one second OFF (then repeat). There is no doubt the problem is with the sounder not getting power sync signal via the hub. If the power sync switch is ON for the port which the sounder connects, then the cable used from the hub to the sounder might have a problem. Maybe it only has four wires? Network cables used should be shielded with metal connectors and have all EIGHT wires inside the cable. This is important for the cable going to the hub and the cable going to the sounder from the hub. If the cables are good, then power sync coming out of the unit (which has proven to work) goes to the hub. With the hub power sync switch on for both the port the MFD connects and the DFF1 connects, should allow power sync to go out to the DFF1 and turn it ON, just like a direct connection. I suspect you forgot one of the two power sync switches, or you have a bad network cable.
