Current sensor

Has Furuno ever considered a basic current sensor (either n2k input sensor or even RD33 size) for the recreational fishing community? Sure would be nice to have some basic surface current data at a much lower price point than currently available CI sensors/displays. Recreational wouldn’t need multiple currents at depths, maybe just a surface and one selectable depth? Could really help anchoring on spots, drifting, etc
