Connecting Navpilot 711C to TZT3 16

Rookie question from a rookie!

I've just fitted a TZT3 16 to my 33 Blackfin. It is using the internal sounder connected to a B275LHW transducer. I want to purchase an Navpilot 711C and want to know the best way to connect it to the MFD. I will connect the AP to the existing pump. Any help appreciated!

Thanks,
Cam

You will use NMEA2000 to connect the two devices and heading sensor.. If you have not purchased yet, strongly recommend the SCX20 sat compass over the PG heading sensor.

Thanks for the reply. The SCX20 is out of the budget at the moment!
I am buying this bundle: Each Furuno 711C comes with:Control unit display, Processor unit, Rudder reference, NMEA2000 Rate Compensated Heading Sensor w/ 6M NMEA2000 Cable and a Two-Year Warranty.

Best way would be NMEA 2000 if you establish a bus. This way you can take advantage of the virtual pilot display and the on-screen navigational prompts. It is also possible to connect via 0183 but you will lose the virtual pilot control ability in the data box and the pop-up prompts.

Would this be connected to the NMEA2000 on the second output on the controller or hard wired into the Processor? Thinking of getting the Maretron NMEA 2000 starter kit, to create a network.
Thanks for the input, really appreciated!

The controller would be connected to the processor. The processor would be connected to the NMEA2000 backbone. The heading sensor would also be connected to the NMEA backbone

You might check around some more. That's too bad because the SCX-20 is a major upgrade in many ways besides improving autopilot performance, including radar overlay accuracy, and heaving compensation for the sounder. Purchased separately, an SCX-20 is about $700 more than the PG700 rate compass.

I am located in Angola, West Africa, so nothing is easy. Can you folk direct me to a reputable online dealer (if that isn't against forum rules), who could put a package together for me, so that I purchase all I need from one place. I will happily look at the SCX 20, if its part of a bundle and they can supply all necessary cabling to install it. Problem here, is if I'm missing the smallest thing to complete the install, it's another order, freight, customs TIME, etc!
Thanks, appreciate everyone taking time to help.

Furuno USA doesn't get involved in gray market exports. We can only recommend the closest and proper dealers for local sales and service. You are outside the Furuno USA sales and service area but you can buy and do whatever works best for you.

Local distributors frown on bypassing their sales and service and will deny local services on gray market export items. If you are aware and it works for you, all good. He is correct FUSA can't recommend someone in our region to sell for another region without upsetting the other distributors which are being bypassed. They manage their areas, we manage ours. Thanks for the understanding. I think all toes are good but he is just clear that it isn't a recommendation we can provide.
