Well, I wish I had a slick layout to post but here's what I put together back in 2005 over a 3 month period in the boat yard. Completely stripped out all of the original electronics and installed a 6kW radar (VX2) w/target board, 1kW network sounder and 511 series autopilot. Since that time I've upgraded to a 711 head unit and added Sirius WX, which really helps when I'm over a hundred miles offshore.

Great setup. I just bought a grady white 270 and would appreciate some ideas from a guy with a similar boat on the best electronics. I'm in ca. and or. mostly and fish for tuna and bottom fish mostly. No electronics on the boat worth keeping except maybe the FCV 582L and that's seriously dated
