charts

Charts for the TZT system can be found on our website www.furunousa.com .
All charts for the TZT are produced by Map Media into the Time Zero format. They must be downloaded and placed on the supplied SD card or an additional card put into the right had side.
Once loaded an unlock code can be purchased through an authorized Furuno dealer or reseller using your system ID. The NOAA raster and vector charts do not require an unlock code as they are free.

There are a few charts that use the Navionics database and more are planned in the future.
Complete instructions can also be found on our website.

You can't. Al charts must be in our Time Zero format.

Thank You,

In order to get what I want I would need to go to https://mytimezero.com/charts-catalog and search for the chart that I would like correct? What I am looking for is the RASTER / MEGAWIDE / NOAA - SDUS01RMAP13.dbr, This has the charts that I need. Once that downloads which I understand is free because its a NOAA chart directory I would need an unlock code to access the files because of the Time Zero format?

Lastly How often are these charts updated and are they corrected to the latest LNM number at time of download? Latest available for the current week that is. These charts are being updated for commercial purposes I am fully aware of ECDIS requirements and regulations, that being said the units on board the vessel I operate are not ECDIS compliant but I still feel the need to have the latest charts corrected to the latest LNM available to compliment the required paper charts that we carry per 33 CFR164.72(B)(1).

Thank you for your time and effort
Regards
Chris

There is no unlock code required for the free NOAA raster or vector database. The charts are normally updated about twice a year.
The only way to have weekly updates incorporated with LNM is what you currently do with your paper charts.

Thank You!
I updated just the one I wanted and it looks good to go. I installed SDUD01RMAP13.DBR. Is it safe to say that the other file in the directory with SDxxxxxRMAP09.DBR is the older version? and that when a newer version comes out it wil be 14 or 15.DBR? I just renamed the 09 with a .bak file extension just in case it didn't work. Finally its too bad there isnt a converter available to grab the noaa charts from the above link and convert them yourself to the time zero format. That way they would be as current as possible.

Thank You again for your help and expertise.
Chris
