I just purchased a new TZ touch 14, Do I need to upload charts? If not, are there better charts than what is preloaded? I am on the East coast in Virginia. Thank you in advance.

Charts are preloaded for all Furuno USA TZtouch units on a 64GB SD card and inserted into the machine. You might want to eject your chart card and ensure that it is correctly seated. I also recommend downloading the high resolution SAT photos for your area and either add to your existing chart card or add a second SD card into the machine. The NOAA raster, NOAA Vector and Army Corp of Engineering river charts are pre-loaded and should be viewable on your new unit. If you are having problems, you might want to contact our tech support via telephone.

I too am on the coast in VA. and the raster chart and sat. imagery is pretty spot on in and around the bay.
