Chart question

I looked through the manuals and online videos and couldn't find the answer. If I have several raster charts installed how do I select one to use?

Lets say I am in the NE and want to load a SE raster chart to plot a route how do I select that chart? Is it a matter of going to charts, highlighting the one I want to use then exit?

All unlocked raster charts are are available to view regardless of ship position. Since all NOAA raster charts are unlocked you can just scroll from the NE to the SE. Any waypoints or routes will also be visible on vector charts.

What if I have 2 NE raster charts install, one newer than the other. Which one is used or how do I go between the new and old? Or does the system automatically pick the newer one?

It would use the newer one, but you should delete the older version so no conflicts occur.

Normally you can tell visually the difference between Raster and Vector easily. If Raster, it will only show the newest version which you have licence to. If Vector, you can tell the type by checking the setting under MENU - CHARTS - VECTOR tab - the "Chart Database" selection will tell you what type of Vector you are using. Selection between RASTER-VECTOR-FISHING is under the RotoKey.

JE thanks for the information.. I was wondering if there was something like a right click properties on the chart that would display the file name.
