chart info

Just purchased a GP1971F that's replacing an old GP1850 and looking to get a Cmap 4D chart (NA-D075 South Central).
I have a question that I would love to ask someone from Cmap about coverage for Lake of the Ozarks & Truman Lake in Missouri. But it seems like all emails and phone calls are never returned. Has anyone been successful in contacting them, and if so how did you do it?
Just seems as if, in my opinion, there is no support for an item that is specifically used in the Furuno products.

C-map is normally very good at supporting their products that they sale. Are you calling the support number (888-316-7275) or the sales number (800-424-2627)? I have contacts at C-Map if you want to PM me your contact information, I can have someone call you. I am very surprised you haven't heard back from them.

I didn't get an e-mail reply from my contacts either. Maybe something is happening at C-Map that has their operations down. That is very much unlike them.

Good afternoon Johnny. Did you ever hear from your contacts at Cmap? I have since sent 2 emails, call and left call back number yesterday and today, and I have been on hold listening to the elevator music now for about 45min. Any idea what's up with that company?

Johnny, I have heard from a couple of different sources and the chart NA-D075 will cover my area.
So I guess I don't need their reply now but, no one has that item in stock, and no forcasted in date.
The question now is, can you download from the Cmap store onto a micro SD and use that in the GP1971F with no problem? Has anyone done that?

I recommend you talk to your Furuno dealer. Many of them are also C-map dealers and can burn maps on the spot. No, I haven't heard from my contacts. Really odd. I know that some areas of the country have been hit with weather issues that have shut down some operations. Hopefully everyone is fine and they will spin up soon.

Afternoon Johnny, just spoke to customer service rep at one of the large marine suppliers. Come to find out, he has been trying to get ahold of tech support at C-map for the last couple of weeks also, with no luck with phone or email. Just thinking, this might not be a good sign for those that use that product.

I heard back from C-map. The bad weather and Covid have them way behind with support and sales calls, but they are still there working away.

They recommend working with your dealer as much as possible during this period, as they play catch-up. It might not hurt to let normal support@Navico.com (or @Simrad.com, @Lowrance.com) know that you have been unable to reach C-map for help; if you still need to reach them bad enough. Navico is the parent company for C-map for those not aware.
