Changing FA50 Status from MFD

I have just bought a new, used boat and need to change the static info on the FA50. I have logged in and changed the static info but the original data still seems to be transmitting (when viewed on Find Ship ). Any suggestions welcome.

Thank you for your inquiry. What static data are you trying to change in the FA50?

Have you checked with another vessel in your port to verify the data has not changed? Sometimes the online AIS providers take a while to update the status of class B targets that have not moved their vessel in a while.

I would try to verify with a friend who has AIS in your region to check on their system to see what your vessel status is from their equipment.

Thanks. I had been checking on Find Ship but original name kept showing up. I've deleted the old name and success, the new name is now showing. Thanks for assistance.
