Hi Furuno,
I have the TZT3 and FM4800 radio with a AIS antenna, Connected via Nmea 2000 and both connected to the backbone, currently the only 2 devices on the Canbus. I cannot get AIS targets to show on the screen. I have no auxiliary heading sensor or sat compass. I have done the following:
1) Ensured bottom swipe and AIS targets are turned "ON" on TZT3
2) Time offsets correct and matching in both TZT3 and Fm4800
3) MMSI Entered
4) I/O output on FM4800 set to NMEA 2000 and AIS output turned to "ON"
5) 4800 reflects correct GPS position and matches tzt3
My next step is to put a multimeter on the NMEA200 connection to ensure its receiving power . Any settings or equipment that i'm missing to get the targets to reflect? Very frustrating. Thank you.
