Can you use airmar m285hw with 1971

I have a 1871f using a b60 transducer for bottom fishing and just picked up a 1971f to replace my nav plotter can I use a airmar m285hw looking for chirp would like to use shoot thru if not thru hull bottom fish up to 75 ft but would like my chirp unit for upper column fish detection thanks
