Ca50/200 12m faring block

I will be upgrading my depth finder soon and have done a lot of reading on this forum. I have decided on the fcv295 with the ca50/200 12m transducer for finding hard bottom areas. My boat will need some sort of fairing block to make the transducer level with the bottom I have read that the high speed fairing for the b260 will work. I would prefer to use a smaller fairing if possible the b260 looks very large. My boat go’s from 15 to 18 knots at cruising speed. I also drive the boat through a lot of thick seaweed that grow to the surface at times and am not sure on how this would effect the larger fairing block. Any thoughts about the setup and the fairing block?

Sbfish,
Yes the B-260 is big, but it is the only one I would recommend using.

Thanks Snips
I have order the fairing block and will let you know how it goes. I also have a temperature sensor Airmar ht200bv can I connect this directly to the fcv295? I believe the sensor uses nmea2000

Not sure what other equipment your running but I have the HT200 temp sensor and can tell you it works great and is very accurate.

If you have a nmea2000 backbone it’s pretty much plug and play with a few setting adjustments,

Yes thanks. I have not set up my electronics to be networked yet. Looks like I have another project for the boat when I install the 295 :)
