CA50-200 12M compatibility with XL

I am beginning to spec a new suite of electronics for a new boat build, a 31 ft power cat. I have all Furuno gear on my current boat.
Two questions at the moment. 1). Is the CA50-200 still considered to be the best ducer for bottom truthing / reading tails? 2). If the CA50-200 is still considered to be the best for bottom truthing, is it compatible with the TZTXL 16?

On the current boat what is the sounder the CA50-200 is connected to?
The CA50-200 is compatible with the TZT16X.
I would say if you are happy with the performance you are getting on the current boat then use the CA50-200 on the new boat. Not only is it a good transducer performance wise but also for reliability/longevity it cannot be beaten.

Thanks, Titanic. The current boat has a pocket mounted b260, connected to a tzt3-12. I like using the narrower cone of 200 kHz when bottom fishing, but reading tails with the ducer running on 200khz could be better. I’ve gotten accustomed to reading hardness on the second echo, so it’s fine. That being said, It has been written many times here that the CA50-200 is the best for reading bottom.

Indyspecracer,

The CA50/200-12M is one of the best all round transducers that Furuno has ever produced. It's one of the most favored transducer for use within the US Pacific Fishing Fleet ranging from Mexico all the way up to Alaska.
