BBWX1 ?

Will the BBWX1 work with the TZT2 units? I am finding conflicting information.

Officially it was never added as a supported unit, but yes it will work. Because the BBWX1 works off the old Sirius sats and BBWX3 works off XM, there are some data differences between the two, in what is provided. Can't remember exactly what is missing but it "mostly" works.

Thanks, if I find a second hand unit will it need to be up updated? Is that something that can be done after installation? Is there anything about the install/integration that needs to be considered?

No update needed for the BBWX1. There was only one update and it was early on and it wouldn't keep things from working. If you do have a really old unit, it can be updated with a PC. You should ensure your TZT2 is at v5.03 or better.
