455kHz Sidescan screen shots

Anyone have screenshots of actual fish with the 455kHz sidescan? It seems like Hummingbird is what most people are using the in Chesapeake to find fish with sidescan. I currently have the 220kHz and its excellent at finding structure.

Also, with two TZTXL units can you run both a 220kHz and a 455Khz at the same time if the displays are networked?

mikek,

Please note that with networked TZTXL system, it only supports one Side-scan frequency at a time—either 230kHz or 455kHz, but not both simultaneously. There is also the risk of the second harmonic of the 230kHz frequency interfering with the 455kHz frequency.

I've included an image to illustrate the differences in fish target appearances between the two Side-scan frequencies of 230kHz and 455kHz.

I hope this information is helpful..?

Very helpful! So what happens if I have both sidescan transducer installed? Do I have the option of what frequency in the sidescan menu? Or do I have to unplug the frequency that I am not using? That 455kHz sealed the deal for me. I’m going to get one of those too.

mikek,

You can connect both of the 230kHz and 455kHz Side-scan transducers—one to each TZTXL MFD you intend to use. However, only one Side-scan transducer can be selected from the menu and then actively used for the entire TZTXL network at one time.
