Background colour

Can anyone please tell me how to change the background to pure black . I have gone through the options ship's track plotter background colour but can't get the screen to actually go to solid black when adjusting it to that setting. Is it something I'm doing wrong or is it possibly the computers resolution/contrast setting that is wrong

Worked it out. Had introvert colour palette selected or what ever it is
