Hello Folks,
I have a B258 ( it might also be 256 ) and can’t find it in the list of available transducers.
Which one suits my se up to benefit from the best performance ?

Thanks!

The transducer is the boat already right. If you really have money burning your pocket you can always replace it for one of the units on the listing. The B260 is not circular but it does have diffrent internal elements.

You won't hurt anything by using the 1KW B260 setting for the 1KW B258 but it is bound to save money and work. While the B260 has much more sensitivity and would obviously fit the menu setting, the choice is yours if you wish to change it out.

I plan to add a DFF-3D transducer later and maybe a Chirp one. So maybe the 275LHW…still making my mind :)
Would you recommend a specific set up for PBG and high sonar performance?

Ultimately all the DFF3D transducer internal elements are the same for the 120 degree beam so there are not any other choices than this (164T) element for the multibeam.

Do I still benefit from Bottom discrimination and Accufish with my transducer?
What transducer? Looking at the tread you have discussed several like you were trying to decide. What transducer are you using for the fish finder? (DFF3D doesn't offer BD or AccuFish as a feature)

The B258 itself is not approved or rated for BD and Accufish. Because you are selecting the B260 as the model, the system software will attempt it if the feature it turned on. It may work somewhat. You will have to try it and see the results. It won't blow up or damage anything but if it doesn't work well, just don't use it. Officially the B258 does not offer the BD and Accufish with this unit.
