AIS FA50 older verson need on/off switch

I have an older FA50 AIS before they could be transmit switchable.

Can someone tell me how to wire this so it can be toggled on and off for transmit?

That unit produced was prior to that feature. You would have to replace the main board to obtain the silent mode switch feature

Is this something I can buy from Furuno?

Furuno doesn't sell direct to customers but you can buy the board from a Furuno dealer. It really wouldn't be worth the cost because the main board is the heart of the unit and costs almost as much as a new FA50 with warranty. You could always sell the older type to someone who doesn't need that feature and buy the new type. You can always price the board with your dealer and weigh the options.
