Airmar B265LH and DFF1UHD False Bottom and other trouble

Unfortunately these pics aren't gonna give you much. Picture of HF and LF in Auto Fishing, then LF with gain cranked up. For reference bottom is around 25' here. This is a brand new B265LH --> existing DFF1-UHD --> existing TZ2Touch. now that I know transducer is 99% solid with a good install, do I work up from there and look at the DFF1-UHD? Hard reset with dip switches on DFF1-UHD and check all connections then check connections into TZ2?? Also, this is the sonar that randomly stopped working early summer which has me thinking maybe it is the DFF1-UHD.

For what it's worth, the new T-165-B54 -->DFF3D---> same TZ2 is working.
Did you fix your issue? I have a BBDS1 that suddenly stopped showing depth (on TZT16f) (same picture as you) and same vintage (2012). The temperature recording is good. Is there a fix apart from purchasing a new one?

The internal pictures you are showing are of a DFF3D, not a DFF1-UHD. Is it possible the snap-on plastic cover got swapped between the two?

Hours of diagnosing and busting out another thousands later:

Both my transducers were installed poorly by previous owner is my guess as they both had water intrusion around thru hull. To make matters worse after replacing the transducers, my Dff1 uhd turned out to be broken with scorch marks within the motherboard or whatever you wanna call it it. DFF3d is working well but I’m going to be ordering a new dff1uhd.

My suggestion is to hire a tech with the airmar diagnostic tool to verify transducers are operating normally first, then work your way up to sounder box, then screen.
