Airmar B164 1kw 20 Degree Thru-Hull Transducer

i have a 16 inch tzt3 mfd i am putting on my boat ( previously connect to simrad G0 9) which already has the airmar b164 1kw 20 degree transducer installed. would this trasducer be compatible with the tzt3 mfd? if so, what kind of connector would i need ?

The Simrad connector of the transducer would need to be cut off and a 12 pin pigtail cable (TZ3-12P-PGT) wired up to the transducer to fit the TZT3. In the sounder settings you would pick "1KW" selection.

I was about to do the same thing for my 164, but got annoyed at the $150 connector, so upgraded the ducer to the 175 series, spent 1K+ for it. Not saying its smart, just hard to justify the $150 for a 5$ part Furuno.
