I no longer see Active Captain support mentioned in any new TZ2 literature. Does this mean current TZ2 owners who may have been influenced to purchase or upgrade to TZ2 will never see AC updates again?

It is most likely because the documents must be redone for the new version to support the newer API. The old documents were not correct currently because you can not do an online update. The newest software update provides an updated version of Active Captain that no longer requires the user to login with an account to view the data. It is now just a matter of swiping up from the bottom of the screen to turn it on or off. Changes will be happening with future versions as the new API is implemented. We have no ownership or control over Active Captain so no lifetime guarantees but at this time we don't see that feature going away. Plans are in place to embrace the recent changes they have put in place.

Thank you, but it's been two years now since the API change. Most of the other apps, including Nobeltec Time Zero, have made the needed updates.

6.21 software that lets you access the data without login just released a few weeks ago. We don't determine priorities that Japan places on the new API implementation. Furuno didn't change the system, Active Captain did. It hasn't been two years (24 months). It has been roughly a year. Your point is taken but Active Captain is currently working in the MFDs and they do have it on the planning board to adapt to the changes. I don't have any additional information to offer you.
