6.21 software and Navpilot

I have a Navpilot 711C O/B networked with my TZT2. With software versions prior to 6.01 when I selected a waypoint to navigate to a message would pop up asking if I wanted to engage the Navpilot in my TZT2. I no longer get this message. If I push NAV button on the autopilot menu it will engage pilot. I can also push the NAV button on the 711 and it will work. Reading the manual it looks like I should still be receiving the message. Is there a setting or something I am missing? Attached is a pic of what the manual describes, I’m not getting the “ DO YOU WANT TO NAVIGATE USING THR NAVPILOT” message. Thanks

One of the software changes made is this feature must be enabled in the menu.
Go to settings and then routes. Turn on Navigate with AutoPilot.

I had the same issue with the Navpilot 300, but Melville's suggestion corrected it, it now has more options than just Yes/No. It asks if you want economy or precision Nav.

I have another issue with the Navpilot 300 in standby mode. While steering both TZT2 screens display "Navpilot disconnected" constantly. The autopilot engages normally and steers the boat, but if it is in standby and I change heading the error pops up and beeps. If I am running and do not touch the wheel it give no errors, but as soon as I start to turn both machines display the error. Prior to the update it worked flawlessly.

I have Seastar Optimus EPS and Safehelm engaged.

Changing the setting fixed it for me too. I probably won’t run my boat for a month from now but I have been missing that feature since installing 6.01 earlier this fall.

Digging deep,
You have updated the pilot to the newest software too, Right? I recommend you contact technical support with information on your system so they can try to duplicate and resolve the issue.

Johnny,

Sorry, I did not realize there was also a new update for the Navpilot 300. I couldn't find anything on the product page for software updates on furunousa.com. I will call tech support and see if they can provide it for me.

Thank You

Depends on when you purchased the NP300 but new software was released after we started selling them. The newest software is 1.07 Control display and 1.06 Processor software. You might check what yours says on power up. Hopefully that will resolve it. The upgrade is very easy with a USB to the inside of the NP300 processor, but you will need to get it from Tech support. Keep us posted.

I had the same issue with my NavPilot 300, among other things, and followed the suggestion to get the software update from support. After upgrading it, the errors went away and things are extremely stable.
