6.21 and Cmap Unlock Code

Made my first trip yesterday with 6.21 running. Install went fine and did the master reset after and restored my settings and points. In the garage testing the day before looked good and my Cmap chart was present and unlocked.

On the water yesterday, both times I shut down and restarted the unit I had to manually enter the Cmap unlock code. With the past software version I was given a TL_UCPOOL file that went on the SD card to resolve this problem. Do I need a 6.21 version of this file?

No. You shouldn't need the file at all but if you had it on your chart chip; it should still be there. Maybe that file was used to load the unlocks but the file wasn't kept in the machine's chart card. The only time I have seen someone losing an unlock code at power off, it was fixed by clearing the unit, restoring settings, and re-entering the unlock code. If you try that and still have problems, I recommend you contact technical support.

Johnny, I wanted to follow up to say that I've started up the MFD twice in the garage and both times the Cmap chart was unlocked. Perhaps it just took a few restarts for the system to stabilize after the upgrade and reset.
