Hi I am interested in the TZTouch 14inch. I am looking at networking it with my 1150 sounder.

With the sounder connected does the 2D/3D update it self automatically and if so what would I need to do this.

I used to have the GP7000, which I have two charts one is a bathametric and the other is a standard chart. Can the charts be used in the TZTouch? Can I also transfer my gps marks via a SD card that I have saved from the GP7000?

Hello Frank,
The only product that is capable of Personal Bathymetric Generation is MaxSea Time Zero Explorer with the PBG module. I believe this is what you are referring to when you say, "does the 2D/3D update itself automatically?" The 2D/3D data on the TZT14 is embedded data on the 64GB SD card that comes with each unit.

You will not be able to use the charts from your GP7000 on the TZT14. Every TZT comes pre-loaded with free NOAA Raster and Vector charts for the entire US. You have the option to unlock additional charts from C-MAP, Navionics or any other rest-of-world hydrographic office chart. Link below to all available charts.

In order to take your existing waypoints from the GP7000 you would have use a program from http://www.gpsu.co.uk to translate them from their proprietary format into either a .csv or .gpx file that is compatible with the TZT14.
