1971 F not updating software via Wi Fi

I have updated my GP 1971F via card method previously, current software is version 5.1.

Today I connected it to home router via LAN connection successfully with a strong Wi Fi signal.
The download new software window has not appeared.

From what I read my understanding is the unit will prompt for the software update when connected via WI Fi without any action on my part.

Am I missing a step somewhere in the process?

It should do the update through wifi if you are connected to the internet. If not you can always do the software update through a micro SD card and you can find the software on our website here: https://v1.furunosoftware.com/location/kiss/GP-1871F_1971F_5.3.0R.zip

The wifi update might have been taken offline as the newest version (v5.4) removes all internet functions. Specifically if you are in the USA, I wouldn't go with anything other than v5.3 which is posted on our USA product page. (Use micro-SD as Kraken suggests)
