1953 scanner motor reset or fuse?

Got a tag line wrapped around my 12 kw scanner with vx2 display now it doesn't turn and I get a no heading pulse alarm. Is their a reset procedure or fuse somewhere? Motor looks fine, spins freely by hand. Any help? I remember this happening a long time ago and was able to fix it but I forgot the solution.

Check the nylon drive gear the the motor gear makes contact with and make sure all the teeth are there. If that is not it, it is likely that the motor or power supply unit was electrically damaged.

I pulled the motor off, all gears look good, motor doesn't smell or look burnt ,do you mean the separate power supply for the 1953 ? I can't believe their is no protection circuit in these units for this issue.

The fuses in the cables, if set properly, would offer normal protection for most power related events.
An antenna being force-ably stopped is a hard event to offer protection for. Typically the nylon drive gear would have stripped as a protection mechanism for hard stops. If it was a slower "braking" stop where resistance was increased over a time, it could strip a gear or ramp up current slow enough to cause a hard circuit failure.
