Can I keep my 1833C radar and control it with a new TZTouch3?
This would be temporary until I get around to upgrading the radar.
The 1833c is networked through an Ethernet hub.

No. You can run them both on the same boat and wire them up by NMEA 0183 to share some infomation but the 1833C radar can not work on the TZT3 nor should you ever connect a NN1, Vx2, NN3D, or TZT to the same network as a TZT3.
