1815: can't access installation menu

Menu side of the window "Installation" is highlighted; "installation" side of the window is not. The manual's procedure is to press and hold MENU/ESC and press ALARM 5 times to unlock the installation menu. Alarm just beeps each time it is pressed and the installation menu is not accessible after 5 times. Similar behavior with the Factory menu.

You must be in the menu at the time with the installation topic selected. You must HOLD (HOLD without letting up for even one second) the MENU button, and then IMMEDIATELY hit the Alarm 5 times. Don't press menu and go have coffee, press menu and hit the alarm right away and quickly. If it still don't work for you contact tech support while at the unit.

Thanks Johnny, that did it. I was at the boat today and was able to access both the installation menu and factory menu. Must have been the coffee - time to switch to decaf :cool
