hi ,
i currently have a 1100l and a 1 kw 50khz transducer in a steel bath, the boat is 80ft steel longliner and is due to come out of the water soon and would like to renew the transducer to something more modern, i want to fish deeper water 2000ft to 3000ft for bottom fish. was thinking of going to broad band 2-3kw and maybe a dff3 . also thinking about putting in a seperate 2kw 38khz transducer as a back up transducer.
also i currently use time zero plot .
the boat only comes out of the water every 4 years due to being very expensive !!!!
what can u suggest ????

Simon,
Can you explain what a steel bath is?

I would consider looking at either the 509 or 599. The LF side would certainly handle the 2000-3000ft depth you are looking for. I would also consider the LM version as the medium frequency may be more useful over the high.

hi Snips,
sorry steel tank outside of hull. i would also like to use a 32inch monitor/ screen and was thinking that the dff3 and the the time zero plot on spilt screen would be ideal, is this possible as the 1100f has no network out let but dff3 does?

Simon,
The CM-599 is meant to be mounted in a steel tank. This transducer could be used with either the FCV-1100 or the DFF3.
